Virtual memory is used when you run out of RAM. Virtual memory resides on the HDD. Win7 manages this pretty well automatically, so I highly suspect that your C: is getting close to full (simply, if you open My Computer, is the C:'s capacity red or blue - if red, you need to do some housecleaning to free up space).

Also, you can increase the amount of RAM that's installed on your system to prevent the usage of Virtual Memory in the first place (it appears as though you can install up to 2GB of memory in this system).
