I want to get the best AM2 socket cpu for gaming i can get for my mobo before i rebuild a new pc, any suggestions? I posted the link for my mobo b/c im not sure on the wattage and what not.. all i know is it's socket am2.

current cpu = amd athlon 64 x2 dual core processor 4200+ 2.21ghz

You didn't say what you plan on doing with it but, it has some future proofing over the Asus and supports hybrid xfire.
