Hello everyone. I recently set up my eyefinity. i have two 5750s hooked up with crossfire, heres rest of specs.
Operating System
MS Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
AMD Phenom II X4 955 50 °C
Deneb 45nm Technology
4.0GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 802MHz 11-11-11-29
ASUSTeK Computer INC. M4A79T Deluxe (AM3)
Generic PnP Monitor on ATI Radeon HD 5700 Series
ATI Radeon HD 5700 Series
ATI Radeon HD 5700 Series
Hard Drives
500GB Western Digital WDC WD5000AAKS-00V1A0 ATA Device (IDE) 32 °C
Optical Drives
ATI High Definition Audio Device

Most games work fine with it. but when i try to increase the resolution on Assassins creed or Crysis the image stays on one monitor the the screen starts to tear like nothing else or sometimes goes black then gets reset to the default one monitor setting. I have searched everywhere and could not think of anything that could be causing it. any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks in advance.

How many monitors? eyefinity currently doesnt support eyefinity in crossfire, theyre adding it in in the next catalyst version however

I am currently using 3 monitors. and why would it work in most games but not in these two? and any idea when update will be coming?

Dunno... def something driver related... so your playing on one monitor? and the other two have like broswer/itunes up?
March 13, 2010 3:23:13 AM

no when i run the game it runs only on the left one. except in those two games. the other two screens go into sleep mode. Only happens in those two games though.

tryin to increase from 1920x1080 to either 4800x900 or 5760x1080. both have same effect when i try and change it
March 13, 2010 3:38:38 AM

And this eyefinity 4800x900 / 5760x1080 works fine in other games? You got the latest catalyst and hotfixes?
March 13, 2010 3:39:57 AM

yes works fine in other games, and im goign to make sure my catalyst is up to date. downloading latest now. and where would i find the hot fixes?
March 13, 2010 3:57:38 AM

Well i have made progress. turns out my drivers were in fact not updated.... dont know why i never though of it. crysis works but in the middle things the top and bottom of the screen have two rectangles blacked out. ad assassins creed still wont run. but the monitors are on and the steam overlay spans across them. so they work it just wont go over to them.
March 13, 2010 4:03:19 AM

and when assassins creed is set to the 2400x600 resolution it spans across a quarter of my other two screens

Stretch it out to full resolution, in catalyst aspect ratios probably set to centre of screen instead of stretch.
Things at top and bottom would be because of aspect ratios as mentioned just above

Ok, crysis works 100%. Assassins creed is still giving me hell. its at full resolution but the screen will still only span over a small part of the screen to the left and to the right.

I have a 5770 with 2 22' lcds running dual dvi, how do you set the resolution that high? I really want to figure out how to play games with both displays, I need help
March 15, 2010 5:47:41 AM

I think eyefinity is a seperate beast than a dual monitor setup, in fact unless I am mistaken, I think you cannot stretch across only 2 monitors, it needs to be 3, at least in 3d apps.

Hmm, thats kinda sad, thanks for the heaps up on that aspects annisman, am looking at new build, and was looking at getting a 2nd monitor for that purpose... not looking to dish out extra for 2 new monitors... plus a active DP converter
March 15, 2010 8:08:22 AM

Yea, well when you think about it, it would be hard to center the game when it is split directly down the middle, so I assume that is why they skipped 2 monitors for 3.
March 16, 2010 3:01:37 AM

Yea thats a good point... never thought about it that way... oh well guess ill stick to a single monitor setup
