Hey all, im having abit of a problem but im not sure if its my psu. Im running a CIT 500w which has dual 12v rails, 12v1@13amp & 12v2@14amp. When i try to play crysis or farcry2 at high settings my framerate drops and i start to get flickering, if left to continue i get red flickering, this is with an 8800GS yet i dont get this problem with my HD 2900XT(the psu makes a squeeling sound instead with the radeon card but continues on).
is there any reason my 8800gs is doing this?? temps dont go over 70*C . is the 8800gs taking more power?? i need some advice/help with this

Solution
Run OCCT's PSU test and check voltage / temperature graphs at conclusion.

ADVISORY: See OCCT's warnings about this test with poor quality PSU's.

thanks for this, i ran the test for 15 mins and my 8800gs got to a stifeling hot 87*C yet its stable, iv take the card out and tightend the cooler to and made sure my molex to 6-in adaptor was connected properly, so far iv had no glitches :bounce: i will continue to test with the 2 games i stated and see what happens, during game play my card usuall only hits 67*c so the test really pushes it :sol:
