My question is i have a sabertooth x58 mobo and i bought 2 corsair xms3 4 gb 1333mhz rams. I put them to slots which they supposed to be placed. However i didnt see anybody using 4gb rams so now doesnt that mobo support 4 gb rams in 1 dimm? why nobody doing this kind of combo and they are prefering 2gb x [module number]. If this mobo doesnt spport 4 gb ram in 1 dimm i will change my rams. Because i was planing to buy one more 4 gb and make it triple channel. Please help.

That motherboard will support a 4GB stick in a single slot.

However, the X58 chipset supports tri-channel RAM. This means that the RAM works best when it is in sticks that are set as multiples of 3. For example 3X2GB, 6X2GB or 3X4GB.

If you just put 1 or 2 sticks in the RAM will run in single channel mode. The RAM will still work but you'll get better performance with 3 of the same size stick.

Hope this helps.
