Hp dv2500 monitor

Hello,
i have an hp dv2500 and my monitor/lcd screen shows a scrambled image, but if i position it in the right place and hold down on the hinge i get a normal image...any thoughts on what's wrong? i connected it to another monitor and it shows up fine (so it's not the video card).

did u drop the monitor or have u moved it anytime soon? if so then there is something wrong with the display cuz something got knocked out of place, try taping it tightly or getting it replaced
