M11x with core 2 duo

i just recently purchased the alianware m11x with a core 2 duo 1.3ghz and i was wondering is it possible and what would it take to upgrade to the i7 cpu? some of the games i want require 2.4 or 3.0 dual core and im worried that i just wasted money on a new computer that cant even do what i want it to.

It would require an entirely new motherboard since the Core i's and Core 2's run off different chipsets. You'd probably have to upgrade the cooling as well.
