How can I offload encoding/transoding to the GPU?
Mar 13, 2010, 3:30 PM
I have a GTS250 1GB and it has CUDA technology in case you didn't already know. I know about Badaboom but it doesn't
support enough output formats to justify me buying the software. The output formats are, H.264 (MP4) Baseline Profile, H.264
(MP4) Main Profile apparently the output is meant for portable players. Any other software with more file type versatility that
can take advantage of this CUDA tech? Or some tricks maybe? I can tell you I would like to use CUDA to transcode to DVD
format. Is that possible?

No. You have to pay Nvidia for badaboom. (Money that's better of towards a new CPU)
