More about computer freezes installed nvidia gt220
  1. and the card requires 18amp, my psu has only 15amp, is that a problem?
  2. System Requirements:

    • PCI Express or PCI Express 2.0-compliant motherboard with one dual-width x16 graphics slot

    • Minimum 300Watt or greater system power supply (with a minimum 12V current rating of 18A)

    • 1GB of system memory

    • CD-ROM drive for software installation

Yes, you will need to meet both system requirements. I'd go w/ the Corsair if it's available in your neck of the woods.

  3. what is the difference though between 15amp, and 18 amp? What I don't get is when I am playing COD it runs fine for hours. And when I try to browse the net it just freezes on me , is there a possibility that there is a problem with the driver>
  4. I think your PSU should be able to run the card...the GT220 is a low power card.

List the specs for your PSU.
  5. Newest or older drivers will fix !! .. Roll forward or Roll back.

I just got off the nVidia Driver Site ... They acknowledge and explain the issue.

Fix is the very latest, (or older) drivers.
