I'm trying to run FRAPS in Windows 7 (64) but I keep getting this message:

"Hook Error - Fraps may not operate correctly ingame. You may need to reboot the computer."

Is this a video card problem? I have an ATI card (5770). I think there's something going on with this card because a few times I have come back to my system w/ an unresponsive blank screen. My computer still running but completely unresponsive.

Got a question, there are some forum posters who say that Sapphire radeon 5770 cards make a weird squeling noise when paired with a Corsair PSU, do you have that sort of problem? It involves the card reacting weirdly to voltage but since this is a game issue try reinstalling it.

I really just want to capture video and this is an easy way for me to do it. As far as the squealing goes, I might be experiencing that. It's not so much squealing but a buzz of some sort.

I've reinstalled Fraps a few different times as well as tried older versions. Are you saying reinstall the video card drivers?
