Just looking for opinion

Do I get the new Sandy Bridge setup. Would I see a difference.

I currently have and aging 775 board with a QX9770 Extrime Chip. This has been the fasted around for so long.
But from what I read about Sandy Bridge, would it be worth the jump. Also it has ddr2. Still very fast.

Yes, you should see noticeable difference. Especially with encoding. The sandy bridge i7 2600K will blow your processor away, especially with DDR3 support.

Go forth and upgrade!

For games? No, you should just overclock what you have.
