Can I use the HUB instead of industrial Ehternet switch

I have a NS-205 industrial 5port Ethernet switch. which is blown off due to short circuit in main supply. Presently I have a Intex 8 port Hub. can I install it
If yes then kindly explain how its possible

The hub will work the same as the switch. The only thing you may need to be aware of is if you are going from a router there may be a need to use an uplink port. Easiest way to know is if you don't see a link light.
