Not getting an option of "press any key to boot from the CD, press Any

Dear,

Please help me. I am also not able to boot. Not getting an option of "press any key to boot from the CD, press Any key"
Have changed my First boot device to CDROM by pressing DEL and F12. Please help at the earliest. My system is hanging so much. Neither able to boot nor able to open a single file in system. Please help ASAP

ok, is your drive a CD-ROM or do you have a DVD? windows 7 is on a DVD and xp is on a CD. what OS are you trying to load?

I have DVD writer and am trying to install Windows XP SP 2

Is your DVD drive being detected in BIOS? It may be that you have a HW failure severe enough that it doesn't detect all of your drives.

But my DVD Drive detecting all other CD's and DVD's
!
