ok, I was thinking if I should but Seagate 7200rpm 2TB HDD I saw on my local market... the difference between this and a Seagate 1tb 7200rpm is not far (8000yen something while the 2TB is 9000yen something I live in Japan so its on Yen not $ )

my storage lately is getting short and I was forced to delete/backup some files on my DVDs but I cant always do that because I dont have time to burn my files on DVD...

nah a 3tb hdd is kinda hassle to setup on my mobo... I think it needs 3tb unlock program for my mobo which is I already on mobo disc drive (hassle anyway ^^)

I already have:

Baraccuda: 500gb and 1tb

all are 7200rpm, but lately one of my HDD (or both) has clicking sounds on it so I was wondering if my HDD will die soon... (1tb HDD is almost 2yrs old whole 500gb is 1 yr old)

Getting a 2TB 7200rpm hard-disk is far better then any high capacity HDD because the motherboard will cause support limitation.Still many motherboards can not support more then 2TB.

Just get the limit of your motherboard support for HDD and then try to go with the forum answers. :) .

Your setup can support 3TB+ HDD so you can also opt for 3TB you have yen for it or get it later because 2TB will provide you enough storage for the data.

By the way what data you use your HDD for storage? :)

Yes,It is clearly written on your motherboards link which you have provided to us that is capable of supporting 3TB+ HDD.

What's an average size of 1 anime? :)

Thanks, I think I'm still failing to understand this:

I have 1tb and 500gb now so buying 2tb would be useless since the max capacity of my mobo is 3tb? if so thats a let down T_T

I just downloading unlicensed anime that broadcasting on tv here japan... its like 500mb+ on 1080p

Going with 2TB is far more better idea than 3TB because 3 TB HDD are still not so widely used and are also may be priced quite high.

What is the 3TB price in yen?

No not at all because your motherboard still have few ports left for other HDD connections.

I just checked the price(I was not able to read anything else except the price and English material only) and 3TB will be cost approximately 5000yen more which is not at all a good idea for purchase.
(Which language is on the link which you have provided ?)

Just buy 2TB and have fun storing your anime .

yeah and 1TB and 2TB prices are almost close up when you look onto it... the language is Japanese coz I live in japan ^^

Amazon and my local shop's price tag is same so I will buy it from my local shop for shop points to their shops.

Anyway thank you for answering my questions guys.
