Hello,

Why do some motherboards have batteries on it?
For which component of the motherboard are they?
Do I have to replace it after some time?
Would the motherboard work without a battery without any problems?

Hi,

The battery stores BIOS info and is needed for the motherboard to function, you don't need to replace it unless it becomes faulty.
