Defraging computer get message that i have 9% memory only what happens now?

i was going to defrag my computer but got msg that i only have 9% memory on it. now what happens

That means your hard drive is very full and the defrag process will not work as well. You can either clean off old software and files you no longer need to free up space, or simply run defrag several times in a row to help it defrag as many files as possible.
