Replacing GeForce 7350LE card in HP m8020n

Hi all,
Will some kind knowledgeable person put me out of my confusion?
I want to replace the GeForce 7350LE card in my HP m8020n PC.
I bought a Radeon HD 5670 but found it difficult to install. Fits into slot but nothing appears on monitor so I cannot even install the CD.
Then I read somewhere that you cannot replace a Gforce card with a Radeon.
So I'm thinking now of buying a Gforce 9800. Will it work?
Someone please help me soonest as I want to replace the faulty 7350 it came with.

That's false, the PCI-E connector accept any video card.

To double check, does your video card have some soft of "6-pin" plug on the other side? (The one that is facing the motherboard.)

I had the smae problem. You have to go into the BIOS and enable primary output to the built in VGA port and plug your monitor into that port, that way you can install the drivers while the card's connected. Then, when the drivers are installed, you can go back to the BIOS and set it to output video on the new card.
