hi guys how can i add more sata ports to my mobo???i got an asus rampage 2 gene and it has only 7 sata ports on the board and i need at least 9

I think that your best bet would be to get a SATA PCI(e) card so you can open up 2-4 more ports. It probably won't perform the same, but it will get the job done.

If you are running a RAID then the best solution would be a RAID card, which would also be better than onboard.

I don't have any recommendations for you, but if you look for RAID controller reviews you should come up with good ones. This is just a "such as" example

And what hard drives?

This RocketRaid has good professional reviews and 4 SATA III ports. It's fully hardware so will be compatible with a wide range of operating systems and drives, but maybe not ALL hard drives.

guys since my prob is too much hard drive which is better get a 300gb velocel raptor or have 2 15o gb VR in raid 0???
