Install windows xp and cannot find my d partition is it hidden?

hello .. i have samsung note book ..my windows was corrupted so I reinstalled win XP.. but soon after installing it my "d" partition was lost....i dont think its deleted because i installed XP in C partition...i dont knw wat happened it is hidden ..i cant see it in my computer ..and i am embarresed to consult my brother abt it ...so plz help

As part of the install did you format the drive ?
Bring up disk management - right click my computer, manage, disk management - Does it show ?

Yes I got it.....thankyou so much....but I had to delete the data....why did that happened ? I lost all my data
