Heat sink suggestions for i7 3770k 4.5GHz OC?

Hi,

Looking for the best heatsink for a 4.5GHz OC on the 3770k. Post your suggestions. I feel as if a 212 EVO is too simple.

  3. Have you decided yet? Are you set on air coolers?
  4. What case do you have?
  5. I'm not sure what's best..
    I have a Corsair H100 with Push&Pull
I have my i7 3770k at 4.2 Ghz so far (haven't OC'd, will be OCíng more in the future)
    I keeps me at max ~65 C during Prime95

I hope this helps a bit
  6. I posted a similar question in the water cooling forum, everyone said don't get a water cooler, so I am interested to see what other suggest for an air cooler
  7. Here are the best big air coolers available. Only drawback is you have to have a big case to be able to fit these.

  8. Noctua NH-D14

Panteks PH-TC14PE < I have the orange version

I own both of these and they are pretty much equal in cooling ability.
  9. That's his opinion of course.
  10. I'm running the Noctua and the Phanteks on my machines and they are in a dead heat as far as performance.

I wouldn't know about ebay pricing,i buy from newegg and frozencpu.

Overclock is one of many opinions out there. As an owner of both i would say they are almost equal.
