Noctua NH-D14 vs H100i

Now I know people say if you are gonna do watercooling than go with a custom loop. The problem is I am a total noob with PC's and this will be my first rig. For my first rig I want to keep it as simple as possible for cooling. I really like the performance of the Noctua, but it is just sooooo darn big. With the size it I am forced to use low profile ram, and it can look kinda crappy. I was thinking about going with an H100i, (if it performs at least equally) because it is much smaller and cleaner. I am either getting a full size Obsidian 800d or a NZXT 810 case for reference. Which one do you recommend in this case?

Go with the Noctua NH-C14 and simply remove the bottom fan! 90% of the cooling, for the second fan does little, and a lot of space below. As a plus, this will cool your ram and other motherboard components. Plus you now have a super quality fan as a spare to be used elsewhere.
