not yet most amd architecture has failed.

also 1090T has really loser architecture.
What do you mean AMD architecture has failed?
They are slightly behind intel at this point, but they are at least keeping up with it. If Bulldozer is about 30-50% faster then their phenom II line, we might see a shift in who has the better processors.

I still think that the 955 is the best processor(price for performance) for gaming at this point(at least high resolutions and graphics). Thubans scores seemed to drop by 5 fps under the 955(I don't know why).
As time progresses, there will be more threads used in games, It would be good to have a quad core for those games that do. In fact BFBC2 already uses something like 6 threads.

your a just consumer.

one mega byte cache memory amd architecture between one mega byte cache memory intel architecture has absolute different.

now go to the your location architecture research group center.

and asking question " what's the problem 955 BE with amd architecture?"

hey i'm not hardware fanboys.(intel,amd,nvidia,msi,asus,seagate..)

i'm just researcher.

i'm just saying only the truth.
So, you're saying that the cache memory in intel is better then the cache memory in the Phenom IIs? Cache isn't everything, though, but maybe intel is better at designing their cache compared to AMD.

Well, what about price for performance. The 1060T is $300 while the 955 is about half that, for virtually the same performance in games. Right now, it would be worth it to just get the 955 and then maybe upgrade later as newer processors come out(like bulldozer) or as the price of 6 cores drop.

The 1090T is the best at gaming simply because it OC higher than the 965, and for CPU intensive games 1n extra 300Mhz ~ to couple of Frames.
Acutually, I'm not sure if overclocking it would solve that problem.
http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/amd-phenom-ii-x6-1090t-890fx,2613-9.html for some reason, it lowered the fps when they did the overclock. I don't know if it was the board they were using or what, but that could mean it turns out to be worse then the 955 for gaming, at least, for now.

Another site that shows the 955 would do better(remember that 1090T has turbo core which makes it hit 3.4 during gaming).

http://www.bit-tech.net/hardware/cpus/2010/04/27/amd-phenom-ii-x6-1090t-black-edition/9
And another one that just keeps showing thuban losing...I wish that thuban would at least match the 955 in games.

Those were just the first 3 sites I looked at.

Blame BIOS optimization. And its well within the error of margin. Also early samples,
The Thuban is nothing different from a Deneb, just with 2 extra cores tacked on.
You'r so sure that Phanom II X6 1090t is better than Phenom II x4 965 in gaming....
Can you showe us, some benchmark between Phanom II X6 1090t and Phenom II x4 965? But where is Phanom II X6 1090t better CPU......

I just like to see that...

Higher clock, better overclocking....

If you think that is not better, then tell me which one is better and why? (just don't say that is same CPU...)

Ok, the 965 might be better binned so that could be a little better overclocking. The 955 still has it on price for performance($20 for an extra 100mhz or so at an already high frequency isn't that big of deal), which is the reason I like it better.

Let's just let this argument end before we start trolling all over this thread, shall we? :sol:
