Archived from groups: alt.games.thief-dark-project (More info?)

 

I've managed to complete all the tasks and have even found most of the
secrets (I think) but I have been unable to find the hidden passage to
the City hall. I think I know where it is but I can't find the device
to open it. Can anyone enlighten me here?

The trigger to open it is different on each difficulty setting. Rather than
spoil them all here, I'll just give you a link to a post at TTLG that has
them listed for each setting.

Thanx Nightwalker, I can see I'm going to have to learn the search
engines a little better @ TTGL. I had done a search there but didn't
find any of the posts on this thread. Stormtoke

Can someone tell me where I'm not looking for the staff? I've got all the
other objectives, and have found the way out, but can't find the darned
staff. I see what seems like a panel behind one of the statues on the
ground floor, but can't find a switch.

It should be on the wall above the fireplace in the Master's rooms, which
are opened with a gear cog. Have you been in there yet?

I thought I'd been everywhere. I've got a gear cog(bronze, I think). I
just discovered the automap thing, so if the rooms are labeled on there, I
guess that will let me know if I've been there yet. Do you recall which
floor they are on?

It's the very top floor and it's quite small. The only door off of it is the
one with the gear lock beside it.
