Hello, I just pruchased parts for a new computer:

Motherboard: Gigabyte Z68X-UD3H-B3
Hard Drive: Kingston Hyper X 3K SSD (120 GB)

I have installed these and other pieces and when I go to install windows it says it cant find a hard drive.

When I look in the BIOS it recognizes the hard drive there when I have it under IDE. Why does BIOS see it and Windows does not?

You have 4 6Gb/s ports on your motherboard. Make sure your SSD is connected to one of the 2 Intel 6Gb/s ports (SATA3_0 or SATA3_1), not one of the 2 Marvell 6Gb/s ports (GSATA3_5 or GSATA3_6).

Also make sure the Intel ports are in AHCI mode.
