Lap top wont stay running

Hello,
I have a dell inspiron 1521 lap top and a few day ago i tried to power it up and the lights for the power button and the battery and such would light up for about 30 sec but then everything just went off after trying ten times it finally powered on and went to windows for about a min then shut off.I noticed that the fan wasnt running so i replaced with a new one from Dell and its still doing the same thing.please help

It could be signs of a hardware issue. The first place I'd start is with the memory. Take out one stick and see if it boots and do the same with the other stick. That should be a good place to start. If that doesn't do it, report back.

I tried it but now it wont power up at all no light are nothing.
