The ASUS P5BW-LA is an OEM MOBO for an HP Pavillion, and because of that has only a limited CPU support for the CPUs that were available for your exact PC.

note - only the Intel Core 2 Duo E6400 (C) DC 2.13 GHz listed in this example.

Therefore, whenever I see this type post I recommend that you contact HP; often they make a mistake to ask them to email you a list.

^ No, those OEM MOBO are VERY - VERY limited with their CPU_ID info, and if the CPU_ID info is missing the CPU, at best, is dummied down and will poorly function.
