Finally trying to unlock my P2 550 BE, running @ triple core works fine, quad not so much, if I just run ACC, core leveling & vcore @ auto with Hyperthreading @ 1.6ghz, I sometimes get this...

but if I enable all cores I get a P2 B50, 4 cores @ 3.1ghz, but when I start up windows 7 ult 32bit it will blue screen 3 seconds in, the blue screen disappears in less then a second but I think it says "PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA"
so I forced triple core in my BIOS settings and get this

Ive tried changing the vcore, overclocking the cpu, changing the core leveling percentages, nothing seems to work, but im not totally convinced the fourth core isnt working because it did work @ 1.6 ghz in the pic above...any suggestions?

The fourth-core is probaly a dud.
If it wont even boot into windows @1.5v and reasonable clocks, then you got a legit 550BE. It really has bad cores.

It wouldnt boot @ 1.4v no, but it did @ 1.5v, 1.6 ghz, so I dont really want to give up just yet...theres gotta be some other setting that I can change to make it work

What about using amd overdrive and reducing the clock to weak core?

i have a triple core and did all the things you stated to get my 4th core to work, it never did. All in all I can't complain, I OC the CPU to 3.5 ghz and it handles any game out there plus I fully expected only getting 3 cores.

As for you, you paid for a dual core CPU and got a triple. That's a hell of deal even with one bad core.
