I have an Asus p7h55-m pro mobo.

I can use 1600 RAM with this correct? even though it doesn't have it listed on the specs?

I ask because I've already purchased the wrong ram and I'm just making sure everything will be compatible.

I've purchased an i5 750 quad core, and Asus p7h55-m pro mobo.

Now I'm thinking about purchasing the Patriot Viper Xtreme 8GB 1600 but want to make sure this is all compatible.

Thanks.

You can still use the 1600, but the highest your mobo supports is 1333. If you buy a second set/kit at 1600, you'll just be wasting money.

so, even if I'm planning to OC? I should still get the 1333 for the best performance?

Yes, but not just from a performance perspective, also practicality. Why buy what you can't use?

Thanks, a couple users on here told me to use 1600. Glad I got a straight answer.
