Video / Monitor Resolution?

Hello,
I wanna know if my video card support 1680 x 1050 Resolution.
And i mean exactly that resolution.

I have...
Video Card: ATI Radeon X850 XT

I would like to purchase this monitor: LG W2286L 22-Inch LCD Monitor(1680 x 1050).

Are they a perfect match?

On the ATI website....it does not show the resolution that im looking for but it does show higher resolutions....does that matter?

As far as I know, any fairly modern (not completely ancient) video card should support this resolution whether it is ATI or NVidia.
  2. Yea, itll run 1680x1050 easily, gaming performance wise on todays games, no. But itll run that monitor just fine :)
  3. Thanks for all the answer people.
But how come my ATI video card specs doesn't show that exact resolution?
    It shows:

    640x480
    800x600
    1024x768
    1152x864
    1280x1024
    1600x1200
    1920x1080
    1920x1200
    1920x1440
    2048x1536

I wouldn't want my video card to scale or stretch what i see on screen.
anybody wants to clarify this for me?
I just wanna know why everybody says it will support it but ATI specs don't show it?
  4. Google it, i did that, and theres plenty of gamers from 2004 era asking if their precious x850 can run games at 1680x1050, so yea its been done so youll easily be able to do it
  5. Thanks for everything p1n3apqlexpr3ss.
I do google everything before i ask.
I wanted someone to confirm & explain.
    Take Care.
  6. No problem, just glad to help :)
