Would an AMD 5200+ 2.7ghz bottleneck an HD 5750?

Yea I think it is very possible that would be the case but I do not think it would be super horrible. Any chance of you motherboard having the necessary bios update for a better CPU?

I run the same resolution and CPU with an HD 4670 and I notice sometimes I get some bottlenecking, but overall it's pretty minor. With an HD 5750 it should be pretty minor, too, so I wouldn't worry about it. The CPU will bring you up to acceptable levels in pretty much anything, anyway, so you can just turn up some AA if you feel bottlenecked and your loss will be minimal.

Yeah but I thik its a 95w TDP board so I'll probably just buy a new one.

If there is a bios update for it, an Athlon II X3 would make for a nice cpu for the money and still be fine wattage wise.

I'd say it's minor, but you can fix that by overclocking to 3-3.2ghz.

Easier said than done on a K8. We have become spoiled by how well the 45nm AMD chips overclock compared to past 65nm chips.

3.2 should be doable, most of the later K8 chips were overclocking that well. Brisbane was easy to overclock, especially if you had one of the Black Editions, 3.1-3.3 was typical.
