I've been reading about this for some time. It's supposed to be quicker and more reliable than the traditional BIOS. Thanks for the link.

AM3+ boards will most likely be following suit with UEFI replacing the current BIOS. It will a nice & much needed change when UEFI is integrated across the board and manufacturers provide updates to replace current gen BIOS.

I could care less about the GUI, but I am interested in the 'efficiency'. I've seen super-fast boot times since June, but I'm not 100% certain it's some {modified sleep mode; Quick Boot} or real cold-boot time. It's a 'step' forward, but from everything I've seen it's glitz - I want a SOLID BIOS. I hope UEFI is both.

What I'd really like is a BIOS that could connect to the web or other source and OPTIMIZE itself with ALL the H/W and OC'ing via a simplified GUI + WORK + DIAGNOSTICS = Happy Jaquith!
