ASUS M4A89GTD PRO/USB3 crossfire? Help

Hi. In the specifications this board is stated to support hibrid crossfire.
I'd like to know if this can be done with any discrete gpu or if it has to be one of the same series (onboard gpu hd4290)
ALso, does this board also support regular crossfire? (Say 2 radeon hd 6850)?

Hybrid Crossfire is supported by very few graphics cards. And the ones that do support it are old and weak, like the Radeon HD 3XXX series cards. This is because Hybrid Crossfire was made specifically to bring two low end graphics solutions together into one that performs moderately.

From the looks of it, the motherboard will support regular crossfire in a PCI-e x8 /x8 mode.
