Put new fan into my computer

I recently got a Zalman ZM-F1RL 80mm led case fan to replace my nzxt fan. After puting the new fan into my case my computer has been going very slow, also when i put my new fan in i cut the other one out because i was not able figure out how to disconnect it ( only cut the cable that the was on old fan ).

Does anyone know how to fix this also is it a problim the way in removed old fan. ( new fan used different connector a 3 pin plug, old used a 4 pin plug )

If you cut the actual cable and spliced a new one in, you could have shorted the line, and could be damaging everything its connected to.

You should always safely unplug every fan.

I just cut the cable from old and put some tape over it. the new fan goes into a plug on my motherboard. The old fan was going into PSU i think

YOu should have just unplugged it, you could be shorting something.
