Hi I'm new to overclocking and I was wondering what would be some safe settings (GPU clock speed, memory clock speed, fan control, and power control) for my 7870 core edition. At least enough to get a noticeable increase in performance. I am planning on using AMD catalyst control center.

System Specs:
-Intel i3-3220 3.3Ghz
-Asrock B75M-GL
-Antec Earthwatts 650w 80+ bronze
-Corsair Vengeance 2x4GB 1600Mhz
-XFX R7870 Core Edition

I have mine set to 1180mhz with 1.24v.

What I would do is use afternurner, set your clock to 1200, no voltage change, run kombuster and when your gpu fails lower the clock by 10 mhz.

I set it to 1200mhz with 1.24v and it never got above 50 degrees celsius during a 10 minute run of kombuster. Do you think I could go a little higher? :heink:
