Bios dont detect IDE CD/DVD drive

My PC was working fine then suddenly it won't detect the DVD drives in bios and also in windows. My PC is AMD Athlon +4400, Hard Drive is SATA and the DVD Drives are Sumsung and Liteon.

  1. The first thing to check is that all connections (power and date) are good, and try swapping out the IDE cable if you can. Try easy troubleshooting before the hard stuff.
  2. Yup, make sure all the cables are properly connected and try swap your cable (power/SATA) with another one...
Or try your Hard Drive in another computer, see whether the PC detected the drive or not... :)
