Hi all,

I have the following PC:

CM 690 II Advanced
Thermaltake W0116RE Toughpower XT Cable Management 750W
GIGABYTE - 890GPA-UD3H - AMD 890GX
AMD - Phenom II X4 965 3.4GHz AM3 8MB (125W) Black Edition
Kingston - KHX1333C7D3K2/4GX - DDR3/1333MHz 4GB Non-ECC CL7 DIMM (Kit of 2) XMP - HyperX
GIGABYTE - R587D5-1GD-B - ATI Radeon HD 5870, PCI-E, 1GB, 256 bit, GDDR5
SAMSUNG HD103SJ ATA Device (931 GB, 7200 RPM, SATA-II)
SAMSUNG HD642JJ ATA Device (640 GB, 7200 RPM, SATA-II)
LG GH20NS15 Super Multi - DVD±RW (±R DL)
TV Tuner Analog/Digital ASUS

Can I add another GIGABYTE - R587D5-1GD-B - ATI Radeon HD 5870, PCI-E, 1GB, 256 bit, GDDR5 with the current configuration ? Is the Thermaltake W0116RE Toughpower XT Cable Management 750W enough ? How can I connet it ? I still have free the 8pin connector and 1 of the outputs (4 in total with black) for SATA power !

Thank you.

The W0116 is a quality unit which has been made by CWT. However, It has only three PCIe connectors. If you are thinking about doing CF, you should know that you need two 6-pin and two 8-pin PCIe connectors. Therefore, you would be forced to use Molex-to-PCIe adapters, which is NOT recommended. So even if your PSU has enough power to handle CF5870, since it doesn't come with all of the appropriate connectors, I recommend you NOT to do cf, or go for another power supply.

Your current CPU will bottleneck 2x5870 big time.

Thanks a lot for your replies.

1.It seems that the PSU for 5870CF can work this way : 2 PCIe connectors for 1st 5870GPU and for the second 5870GPU I must use a convertor from 8pin to 6 pin and the molex power for the second power.

2.It means then that AMD doesn't have any solution for 2x5870 or 2xGTX470 !?!?!?

Thank you.
