Can I crossfire Asus 5850 DirectCu's on a GA-X58A-UD3R?

Does anyone know if I can crossfire Asus 5850 DirectCu's on the GA-X58A-UD3R? I have the first one in my top PCI 16x slot, and it looks like it would be an iffy fit to get another one in the middle slot (the top of the second card would have like a millimeter or two of clearance from the fan on the bottom of the card I have in there now), but I am also reasonably sure that a second one won't fit in the 3rd slot. I want to throw another card in there but I am hesitant to purchase one if it might not fit. Any help would be appreciated.

Yes, you will be able to Crossfire on the board. The clearance is pretty typical for a two card setup on majority of the boards, so I won't worry about it and go forth with the purchase

Awesome. Just be be sure I would place the 2nd card in the middle slot, not the bottom slot, correct?

Based on the motherboard, the card goes in the 1st Slot & 3rd Slot (2nd Slot covered by 1st Card) and leave the forth slot alone.

Aaah for some reason I thought the slot behind my current card was not x16. Alright well thanks so much for the help!
