Error message no power plugged in on my radeon 3850 agp graphics card

i just got this card from a friend and when i put it in the agp slot and turn my comp on it saysyou have not connected the power cable to your video card

The 3850 AGP will either have two molex connectors on the back, or one PCI-E connector. You must connect these or the card will not work. If you did connect them, then it could be that your PSU is simply insufficient to power that card and the rest of your system.
