ASUS PCE-N13 question

Hello,
Since building this computer with an ASUS PCE-N13 wireless card, I have had issues downloading files. My network is a g network, but Windows 7 is recognizing the card as an n card.
Is this a problem? Is it affecting my speeds? If so, how can I fix it?

That is because your card is an N card. But like most technology such as this, it is compatible with both g and b networks. Your issue may lie elsewhere.
Ping a website and see the time. Also ping the router and see the time. For the router, reasonably it should be less than 2ms. You can also check your speed at internetfrog.com
