AMD CPU for ASUS M4N75TD

Can I just buy an Athlon II x4 635 or Athlon II x3 435 for gaming purpose. I am on a budget. I would later on upgrade it to a thuban or a bull dozer processor when it releases.


so will an Athlon II x4 635 or Athlon II x3 435 suffice for now or should I go for a Phenom II x4 itself.

Get what you want now, and never plan on upgrading. Sometimes the chipset requirements are changed requiring a new board. For the cpu, depends on your budget and vender. Any of those cpus will work fine.

Bulldozer will require a new motherboard (AM3+). So if you want a Bulldozer CPU you will also have to factor in the cost for a new motherboard when you upgrade.
