Can you not use the Default Settings option within the bios itself? on some boards it's called 'restore factory settings' or 'recall manufacterer settings' etc.

Edit: Alternatively, doesn't removing your CMOS battery for a few minutes revert your BIOS to normal settings? or maybe you have a jumper?

As far as i know, as long as the thing posts and u can get into bios, then your processor has been recognized as an i5-750 (or whatevea it may b) ... and your BIOS should have set all the default specs for that processor... ; it's not possible that it would set the multi/core/volts over what they should be by default.
