Antec 302 watercooling issue

Hi I have a question regarding my antec 302 case-

I am looking to get a water cooler for ocing my ivybridge to 4.7~4.8 ghz not for 24/7 use though. Imcurrently at 4.2 with evo 212.. my question iswould I be able to fit a h100 externally since it wontfit internally? It does have2 loops.. if h100 wont fit what watercooler thats closed looped do u reccomend? I heard ucan fit 240mm ones externally.

  1. From the looks of the case, it has the room for a 240mm rad at the top. Would just be a matter of drilling out the mounting holes and mesh so air can flow.

But yes, you should be able to externally mount the H100 (if the tubing is long enough, I'm not sure). Get something like this

And you should be able to mount the H100 off the back fan mount like I did with this 360mm rad on my case.

Thanksfor ur help! Now one other question do u think the h220 would be better than h100i in cooling? I want to get to 4.8 ghz for 1-2 hr use per day for sims other than that ill be at lower clocks. Could I get my evo 212 to work as an exhaust at the back fan of the 302? Also would there be a leak risk thats more likelyto happen suppose 2 years down the road? Also when moving liquid cooled computers do I have to take precautions? Sorry for many questions - first time going to water cool setup for my ivy

Dont know if there is much of a difference between a H100i and H220, between the two I would go for the H220 since its upgradable (kind of).

You can remove the fan on the 212 EVO and screw it to the back.

CLC coolers will pretty much never leak unless there is some kind of failure. Custom loops or an upgraded H220 will possibly leak, but that will come down to you doing something wrong rather than it failing.

If you had a custom loop or upgraded the H220 to include other components, then it would be best to drain the loop before moving it. CLC coolers are fine to transport except maybe on airplanes.
