Hyper 212 with SILVERSTONE FM121 120mm Case Cooling Fan

Pretty simple question, my Hyper 212 fan has died and I'm wondering if I can put a SILVERSTONE FM121 120mm Case Cooling Fan on it as a replacement.

Basically.... will this: http://goo.gl/4JagC fit on this: http://goo.gl/Aac9J

It looks like they are the same size and I can switch on the bracket, but I'm concerned about the fan speed control. It says this is a case fan, but shouldn't it work on cpu cooler?

  1. Hi,

Yep you can replace the fan if needed, this was taken from the Hyper 212 description:

    "QUICK SNAP FAN MOUNTING
Utilize the included brackets to quickly add or remove fans for upgrades, replacement, or maintenance."
  2. I would make sure its a 4 pin fan so it can go on your mobo.. you don't want it running at 12V all the time.
