USB3 Utilization

I like to know about the utilization advantages of USB3 - I am aware of the higher speed utilization when SSDs are used. Other than this, how and where would the increased speed be utilized? What would I gain if I installed a USB3 card in my computer? (EVGA X58 Classified board) - My detailed computer specs are under my profile.

not much now but soon USBs will be 3.0 capable and mouses and keyboards so it is mainly a future proofing thing
