So what I have so far based on my budget (about $600 ) is:

MSI 770-G45 AM3 Motherboard

PNY Geforce GTS 250 1 gb gpu
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814133266

AMD Phenom ii x4 965
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103727

4gb ram (2x2gb)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231180

250gb harddrive

Dvd burner

My question is how much/how big of a power supply will I need? and any recommendations for a case/power supply.

Case wise, I'd recommend anything by Thermaltake, as they make good/spacy cases. In regard to the power supply, with that set up I'd play it safe and go with anything from 550-650 watts in case of future upgrades, especially to the graphics card. You can find some with decent prices on newegg or tigerdirect. Brand wise, I recommend corsair, as I've heard nothing but good about them and they tend to be rather reliable.

Save $20 bucks and get the amd 955, change the clock multiplier to 17.00x.

Get this Cas7 G.Skill set instead.

I prefer spinpoints over seagates but that's just me. For $10 more you can get a 500 gb. <click me>

Dvd drive is fine I have the same exact one.

The link for the video states 450w minimum for a psu so I'd go safe with a 500-600w. More towards 600 if you plan to add other things such as extra fans, more hard drives and such.

Ok the whole deal with case/psu @ $625AR
