DVDs stop working

Hello,
All of a sudden I cannot play any DVD's. Playing CDs are fine. It "seems" that this happened after I changed settings to play a movie in powerpoint. Can anyone tell me if I need a new drive or a codec or a reinstall, etc. This is what I received when I did a check: AutoFix [V5.2.3790.67]
