Hello all, today I OC'ed my gpu after reading up and watching some vids on how to do it. I have a gtx 670 ftw, and I got about 1200 mhz core clock and 3300 mhz memory clock. Power is at 115% and fan is at 70, although I'm pretty sure it keeps lowering itself while I play. I also OC'ed my cpu using the OC genie on my mobo. I just thought I would ask some experts if this overclocking is safe. I'm pretty confident of the cpu overclock's safety, but I'm not 100% sure on the gpu. I've been playing Planetside 2 on highest in-game settings all day and my gpu sits around 72 degrees Celsius. I need this gpu to last 4 or 5 years, will it last that long with this OC. I did notice a significant improvement with my frames with the overclocking. I just want to be safe, I'm messing with a 300-400 dollar card here. Also, I used MSI Afterburner and Kombustor. I turn the OC off when not playing a game but that doesn't happen often lol, I play ALOT.

My specs:

I didn't see you mention voltages. Voltages and heat are the ultimate killers of hardware. I've fried memory on an nvidia card from too much voltage/heat in the past. If you want the video card "to last 4 or 5 years" i'd recommend not going too extreme on these things.

The voltage is at default I was told that a beginner probably won't want to mess with that as it is the main killer. I think it's about 1.75 maybe. So with that do you think it will last that long? I know every card is a little different but just give me your best estimate as to how long this card will last like this. I appreciate it. Thanks!

Oh, and is this extreme? I thought it was on the low OC end.
