Try taking it out and putting it back again. Make sure it is in all the way. Inserting the RAM module requires some force, but it should lock in place. Don't force it in if it refuses to sink into the slot, because you could damage the socket.

If I may add, you will hear two distinct clicks as the RAM is properly seated. Make sure you pay attention to the notch location and orient the RAM correctly. You will also notice that the locking latches move towards the RAM module and engage into the retaining notches provided.

Wear an anti-static grounding strap when you insert or touch RAM (or other electronic components).

Hi Pingwu,

Don't quote me on this but I have checked online: The Ram you a re trying to instal is http://www.corsair.com/products/vengeance/default.aspx right? If that is so, it is DDR3-1600.
If your motherboard is correctly this one: http://ark.intel.com/Product.aspx?id=34683, then it only supports DDR3-1333/1066/800.
It worked with the Corsair XMS3 DHX DDR3 RAM because this one, according to http://www.corsair.com/products/xms3dhx/default.aspx is DDR3-1333.

Sorry, you might be out of luck.

Hope that helps.

DDR3-1600 modules can run at 1333 or even lower without problems. The SPD values should be detected and applied, so it should work.
