Xfx 5750 connect to VGA

I'm about to buy the xfx 5750, but have an LCD that only has a VGA connection. Whats my best/cheapest way of connecting my monitor to it? I've seen DVI to VGA connectors but do they work?

Ideally they should, but I've heard of a few number of people having problems with these adapters. Do you have a friend with a laptop that has DVI out? Perhaps you could check if their laptop works with your LCD, through an adaptor?

Thanks r_manic. but unfortunately i can't think of anyone who has a DVI output on their laptop, most/all are vga.
This video card has a couple of connection options, DVI, HDMI and DisplayPort, which one would be the best option to connect a VGA lcd monitor to?
