Problems with HDMI

Hi guys, just built new system and everything is working perfectly and temps are great. But for some reason I can not get screen to work with the HDMI cable. The VGA works good at 1600 x 1200, and the DVI works great at the max resoultion of 1920 x 1080. When I plug it in, the screen gets very pixelated and strange. All drivers are current. Thanks for your help.

  1. Unless you are piping audio thru your monitor HDMI and DVI video quality are basically the same. Here is a link to explain the specifics. If the DVI works great use it.

  2. I have the exact same video card and monitor, with the exact same problem. I realize DVI video quality is basically the same, but its just frustrating that HDMI isn't even an option.
